| Vehicle Listing Description | The Nissan 280ZX (also known as the Datsun 280ZX) was a sports coupe produced from 1978 to 1983. It was the second generation Z-car, replacing the Datsun 280Z in late 1978. The 280ZX was replaced by the Nissan 300ZX in 1984. The 280ZX was Motor Trends Import Car of the Year for 1979.
The 280ZX was a complete redesign, retaining only the L28 inline-6 engine and other driveline components from the 280Z. With a focus on the oil crisis of the late 1970s, Nissan improved fuel economy, emissions, and aerodynamics over the first generation Z-cars. In addition, high-end audio systems were standard.
Although not fully restored, with only 125K original miles on this 28 year old car it is mechanically sound as a pound! I drove it as my daily driver for over two years and it never once let me down!! I've recently purchased a 1994 Nissan 300ZX (one of my old dream cars) hence the reason for wanting to sell my 280. I'm actually kinda glad I haven't sold it since I got my 300 because to be perfectly honest, my 300 has been in the shop quite a few times since I bought it and my trusty 280 was always there to my rescue!!!
Got my 300 running pretty good now (and I'm itching for a motorcycle again) so I'm ready once again to try and sell my 280 and am willing to negotiate on the price or ideally, trade for a bike! Serious inquiries only please, this is a collector's car and a Nissan 280ZX enthauasist's dream!!
